“Four UK Premium Bond Holders Win £100K Prizes”

Date:

Four fortunate individuals who hold Premium Bonds have each received £100,000 as prizes for bonds they purchased in December. These winning bonds qualified for the February 2026 draw and were owned for a full month before being included. Notably, one winner bought a £50 bond in December 2025.

The winners are spread across different locations in the UK. One winner resides in Essex and has a total of £19,150 in Premium Bonds. Another winner lives in Brighton and Hove with a total of £38,025 in Premium Bonds. The remaining two winners, each with £100,000 prizes, live in Cheshire and Hampshire with the Isle of Wight.

Every month, two lucky individuals are awarded £1 million in Premium Bond prizes. In the recent February 2026 draw, one of the £1 million winners is from Liverpool, while the other winner is located in Central Bedfordshire.

Premium Bonds, a savings product offered by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), operate differently than traditional savings accounts. Instead of receiving a fixed interest rate, bondholders participate in a monthly prize draw. The prizes range from £25 to £1 million, with higher odds of winning smaller prizes compared to the larger sums.

The maximum amount that can be saved in Premium Bonds is £50,000, with each pound invested corresponding to a unique bond number. The odds of winning a prize each month are 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond. Winners are notified via email or text message by NS&I, and can choose to receive the money directly into their bank account or reinvest it into Premium Bonds.

Currently, the prize fund rate for Premium Bonds stands at 3.60%, which has been consistent since the August 2025 draw. Recent data revealed the areas with the highest number of Premium Bond winners, with Hampshire and the Isle of Wight having 42 individuals winning £100,000 prizes in 2025. Essex, Outer London, Norwich, and Cumbria also saw significant wins in the previous year.

By visiting the NS&I online prize checker tool or using the Premium Bonds prize checker app, bondholders can easily verify if they have won a prize. It is important to note that winning a prize every month is not guaranteed, but the excitement of potential winnings keeps many participants engaged with the Premium Bonds scheme.
