Freeview, the popular television service, has recently made significant changes to its TV guide. One notable update is the closure of the Talk channel (Ch 280), known for its focus on debate, opinion-led journalism, and politics. Viewers can now access Talk through the official Talk app or other platforms like Samsung TVs, Roku devices, and LG screens.
In addition to this change, Freeview has reorganized its channel lineup. Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 has been rebranded as Wedotv, while several children’s content channels, including Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics, have been relocated to new channel numbers. For instance, Ketchup TV has moved from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics from Ch 214 to Ch 210.
Freeview emphasized that channels on its platform are constantly evolving, with individual channels making decisions to relocate, add, or remove content. To ensure that viewers have access to the latest channels, they are advised to retune their TVs by following simple steps such as accessing the settings menu and selecting the appropriate installation or update options.
By staying informed about these changes and performing a retune, Freeview users can enjoy a diverse range of content tailored to their preferences.
