“Grandmother and Caregiver Killed in A55 Tragedy”

A woman tragically lost her life in a car accident on the A55 near Conwy, North Wales. Jennifer Anne Brown, a caring and compassionate individual in her 40s and a grandmother, was involved in the collision with a lorry while traveling with three others. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the incident, two individuals sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to hospitals in Stoke and Aintree, while another person was taken by ambulance to Aintree for treatment.

Jennifer, who hailed from Newborough on Anglesey, had dedicated over two decades of her life to working at Glan Rhos Nursing Home on the island, where she was affectionately known as “Queen.”

The nursing home expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Jennifer as a beloved member of their family who had touched many lives with her warm smile. Colleagues remembered her as a devoted mother and grandmother, emphasizing her pride in her family.

North Wales Police confirmed the accident occurred at junction 17 westbound in Conwy Morfa, under the A547 overpass. The road was closed in both directions, and multiple air ambulances responded to the scene.

The driver of the heavy goods vehicle involved in the crash is cooperating with the police investigation. Chief Inspector Trystan Bevan extended his condolences to Jennifer’s family and encouraged any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
