“Gunshots Heard Near White House; Press Members Shelter Inside”

Gunshots were reportedly heard outside the White House on Saturday, prompting Secret Service agents to instruct press members on the North Lawn to seek shelter inside the briefing room, as per an on-site reporter. The situation unfolded when journalists were gathered outside the White House complex and multiple gunshots were heard nearby. Secret Service personnel then directed reporters to quickly move indoors for safety. Reporter Julia Benbrook’s social media post mentioned that around 20 to 30 media personnel were asked to seek shelter after hearing the sounds. As of now, neither the White House nor the Secret Service has released a public statement regarding the incident.
