Kristen Jennifer, aged 41 and from Almondbury, Huddersfield, tragically passed away while on a family vacation in Turkey in September. She faced breathing difficulties and sadly passed away on September 30.
After her untimely death, heartfelt tributes have been shared by her family and fellow volunteers at the Huddersfield Street Kitchen, where she was considered an essential part of the volunteer community. Her two sons remember her as not only a mother but also a best friend.
Kristen’s family praised her positive outlook and willingness to assist everyone. A close relative mentioned that family meant everything to Kristen, highlighting her deep love for animals and her children.
For five years before her passing, Kristen dedicated her time to supporting the local food initiative at Huddersfield Street Kitchen. The founder, Danny Burrows, 43, spoke highly of Kristen, describing her as a beloved member of their volunteer team.
In honor of Kristen, volunteers at the kitchen have introduced a new service called ‘Kristen’s Night Kitchen,’ providing hot meals on an additional evening. This initiative was started to fulfill Kristen’s wish of expanding the kitchen’s reach within the community.
Furthermore, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist Kristen’s family during this difficult period. The team at Huddersfield Street Kitchen expressed their admiration for Kristen, labeling her as a warrior woman and an integral part of their organization. The funds raised will support Kristen’s family and honor her memory.
