ICE Agents Allegedly Delayed Aid After Shooting Nurse

Date:

A medical professional has recounted the distressing moment when he tried to assist Alex Pretti following his shooting by an ICE agent, shedding light on the shooter’s actions afterward.

Alex Pretti tragically lost his life in Minneapolis on January 24 amid ongoing protests against ICE agents and the Trump administration’s stance on illegal immigration.

According to the doctor, instead of providing immediate medical aid, the federal agents allegedly tallied the number of bullet wounds inflicted on Pretti. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that the agents fired in self-defense, citing Pretti’s possession of a handgun during the incident.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara mentioned that Pretti, an ICU nurse, was believed to have a legal permit to carry a firearm. However, there is no evidence suggesting he intended to harm law enforcement officers during the protest.

An eyewitness, described as a physician, stated in a court document that they did not witness Pretti displaying any weapon toward the agents. The witness’s account contradicts the DHS’s claims.

The witness recounted, “I saw him shouting at the ICE agents but did not witness any aggression or weapon use. Subsequently, an ICE agent pushed him to the ground, after which multiple agents pointed guns at him and fired multiple shots.”

The witness further noted their efforts to aid Pretti’s injuries were hindered by the agents who appeared to be merely counting his bullet wounds, rather than providing medical assistance.

Alex is remembered as a kind individual who courageously tried to shield others before being shot by an unidentified ICE agent. Witnesses described a chaotic scene where multiple agents subdued Pretti, leading to his fatal shooting at close range.

Ten gunshots were reported, causing shock among bystanders. Allegations suggest that ICE agents retreated from Pretti’s body without attempting resuscitation.
