“Jet2 Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Manchester”

A Jet2 passenger plane bound for Spain issued an emergency alert while flying over the north-west of England. The flight departing from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Palma de Mallorca Airport declared a general emergency at 12,875 feet along its route to Spain. Tracking data indicated that the plane altered its course near Shrewsbury before returning to Liverpool. Subsequently, the flight made an unexpected landing at Manchester Airport. A passenger reported that despite experiencing some vibrations and noise after takeoff, the landing at Manchester Airport was safe and that they expected to board another flight to continue their journey. Jet2 and Manchester Airport have been contacted for comments on the incident.
