During a special viewing of the Mirror’s latest YouTube series, “Island of Strangers,” which explores bridging societal gaps, Powell highlighted the importance of solidarity within the Labour movement. She stressed that the party has historically countered division and animosity, asserting that it is now crucial for Labour to reclaim this role, particularly as a governing entity.
Powell urged Labour to dispel the misconception that immigration is solely responsible for the nation’s challenges. She argued that these issues stem from various factors, including a system that fails to support ordinary citizens. Emphasizing the party’s role in addressing these issues and fostering unity, she called for a renewed commitment to bringing people together.
