Homes with LG televisions are receiving an exciting upgrade just in time for the holiday season. The renowned Korean tech giant, LG, has announced a significant enhancement to its popular LG Channels platform, offering a range of new features and additional free content for viewers, including exclusive shows from Sky.
This recent update, which commenced rollout this month, allows owners of select LG screens to enjoy content from Sky Sports Stories, Sky Sports Vault, and Sky Sports Classics without requiring a subscription. Moreover, LG has recently incorporated the Sky News channel into its free lineup, expanding the viewing options available to users.
The update not only introduces new content like LG1 Christmas for festive entertainment, the FIFA+ Women Channel for soccer enthusiasts, and the DP World Tour for golf fans, but it also enhances the overall viewing experience. These new channels, like all LG Channels offerings, are part of the FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) services, featuring advertisements during programs.
In addition to the new channels, the upgrade brings broader enhancements, including personalized content suggestions and a revamped user interface aimed at simplifying the process of finding something to watch quickly and effortlessly.
A new feature called “Quick Access” enables viewers to access channel information, the TV guide, favorites, and popular content instantly by pressing the “OK” button on the LG Magic Remote while watching a program.
