Organizers of a London festival have issued an apology after several attendees were injured during a crowded situation at Ghana Party in the Park. Disturbing videos circulating on social media captured the chaos as guests struggled to navigate the surge of people at the event in Barnet, north London.

Emergency services responded to the scene, with three individuals taken to the hospital for treatment while others sustained minor injuries. The festival organizers expressed deep regret for the distressing incidents and acknowledged the challenges faced during the event.

Reports from witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with injured individuals being attended to by medical personnel. Despite initial speculation on social media about a stabbing incident, both the festival organizers and the Metropolitan Police clarified that such claims were unfounded.

In an official statement posted on social media, the event organizers extended their apologies to those affected and emphasized their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees. They confirmed that the festival was temporarily paused earlier in the day due to a fire incident involving a vendor, which was swiftly resolved with the assistance of emergency services.

Following discussions with authorities and event management teams, a decision was made to conclude the festival early to prioritize public safety. The organizers highlighted the festival’s longstanding tradition of celebrating Ghanaian culture and community, emphasizing their dedication to providing a secure and enjoyable environment for all participants.

In response to the incident, the Metropolitan Police in Barnet confirmed the cancellation of the event due to overcrowding issues at the entrance, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to several individuals. A total of 23 people received assistance from emergency services and medical teams, with nine individuals assessed by the London Ambulance Service.

The statement concluded by assuring the public that the situation was under control, with the event concluding peacefully once crowds dispersed.
