A magician named Daniel Hidden, aged 26, disappeared under mysterious circumstances while driving away from his residence in Queensland, Australia, at 3 am. His last sighting was on June 14, and he has not been located since. Friends reported that he was en route to the Springbook area, pulling a caravan with his silver Hyundai, but he has not been spotted for over a week.
Authorities initiated an extensive search operation for Daniel after he turned off his phone at 6 am on June 14. Described as a 26-year-old with long black hair, a black beard, and brown eyes, he was last seen in a maroon top and black cargo pants. The search effort, involving police, firefighters, and volunteers, scoured the vast Springbook region, eventually locating his silver Hyundai Santa Fe and Galaxy caravan near Currumbin Creek Rd, several miles south of his Gold Coast residence.
Rescue teams, including fire crews and drones, combed the expansive Currumbin valley area within the remote Springbook National Park. Due to the challenging terrain and wide search area, additional support was requested from the Australian Defence Force. The Acting Inspector Brett Jackson explained that aerial assets such as police, Polair, and drones were deployed to aid in the search.
Police noted that Daniel’s disappearance is uncharacteristic. Notably, a message on his website stating “Transformation requires disappearance” raised intrigue, although it is not linked to his vanishing. Meanwhile, in a separate case, the grandparent of a four-year-old boy named Gus Lamont, missing in the Australian Outback for almost a year, spoke out. Little Gus was last seen playing near his family’s sheep station, Oak Park Station, near Yunta, on September 27. Despite extensive searches of the South Australian sheep farm, no trace of Gus has been found.
In a recent interview, Josie Murray, Gus’s grandparent, denied involvement in her grandchild’s disappearance, despite being considered a key suspect by the police. She refuted claims that she may have harmed Gus, emphasizing the irrationality of such accusations.
