Man Attacked by Ex and Mother of Child in Violent Home Confrontation

Date:

A man sought refuge in a bathroom while being pursued around a residence by two women, one of whom is the mother of his child, before being attacked by both individuals. Warren Harper had been socializing with his ex-partner, Demi Oliver, and Kelly Rees when the incident occurred. Neighbors reported hearing loud noises and music following a night of drinking at a property in Precelly Place, Wales.

According to Wales Online, the trio, who were familiar with each other and lived in close proximity, included Oliver and Mr. Harper, who had a previous relationship and shared a child. The assault occurred on July 27, 2024, with Mr. Harper being chased around the property and eventually barricading himself in the bathroom while Oliver and Rees attempted to gain entry.

During the altercation, Mr. Harper attempted to leave but encountered Rees, who was wielding a knife after consuming crack cocaine. As he tried to retrieve his belongings, Rees attacked him with a Stanley knife, causing a laceration to his wrist. Additionally, Oliver inflicted a slash using a different blade.

Mr. Harper then fled upstairs briefly but decided against escaping through a window due to the height. He returned downstairs and managed to escape the house while bleeding profusely. He was subsequently transported to Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest for treatment of stab wounds to his wrist and arm, requiring surgical intervention.

Both Oliver and Rees admitted to unlawful wounding charges and appeared for sentencing at Swansea Crown Court. Despite the incident occurring two years prior, Judge Huw Rees emphasized the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim and indicated that immediate custodial sentences would be imposed on the defendants.

Oliver, residing in Precelly Place, Milford Haven, received a 17-month jail term, while Rees, from Waterloo Road, Hakin, serving time for a robbery in Milford Haven, was sentenced to an additional 27 months behind bars.
