Man Incites Violence Against UK Prime Minister at London Rally

Date:

Police are in pursuit of an individual captured on video inciting violence against Prime Minister Keir Starmer during a London march led by Tommy Robinson. The man, speaking to former Conservative councilor William Coleshill, was recorded stating that Keir Starmer should be assassinated. Coleshill, while disagreeing with the call for assassination, suggested that Starmer should stand trial and then face lawful execution, noting that the death penalty has not been in effect in the UK since 1965.

The video footage has garnered significant attention online, with one social media user expressing the hope that the Metropolitan Police would apprehend the individual. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that an investigation was underway regarding the video from the ‘Unite the Kingdom’ protest, urging anyone with information to come forward.

As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests have been made in connection with the video that surfaced during the rally in central London. The event saw a large gathering of anti-migrant activists, estimated between 110,000 to 150,000, marching through the city. Reports from the police indicated that officers were subjected to assaults and encountered “unacceptable violence” from individuals attempting to disrupt counter demonstrations.

Following the march, the Metropolitan Police disclosed that 25 arrests were made, denouncing the violence faced by officers as “wholly unacceptable.” The statement further highlighted that 26 officers sustained injuries during the event, with four officers seriously harmed, including incidents of broken teeth, a possible broken nose, a concussion, a prolapsed disc, and a head injury.

Addressing the violence against police officers, Keir Starmer emphasized the right to peaceful protest as a core value of the country. He underscored the importance of upholding tolerance, diversity, and respect, stating that Britain’s flag symbolizes unity and rejecting its misappropriation for violence, fear, or division.
