Melania Trump was seen discreetly concealing US President Donald Trump’s hand after a bruise was noticed earlier today. The President and the First Lady were observed walking hand in hand following their arrival in the UK. Although Trump’s bruised hand was not visible during their initial greetings, Melania held onto it firmly as they proceeded to the helicopter, Marine One.
Upon their arrival at Stansted Airport, Trump was greeted by RAF personnel from The King’s Colour Squadron forming a guard of honor. Security measures were in place with US security services conducting searches using security wands. Trump and Melania are scheduled to travel to the US ambassador’s residence in central London from Stanstead.
The bruising on Trump’s hand has sparked speculation about his health, particularly as he became the oldest president to be inaugurated at the age of 78, now being 79. The White House attributed the patches on his hand to frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin for cardiovascular prevention.
Recently, Trump praised King Charles as a “friend” and commended him for representing the country elegantly. Notably, there have been only three state visits by US Presidents since 1952, including George W Bush in 2003, Barack Obama in 2009, and Trump in 2019.
