A man from the UK has disclosed his decision to leave Dubai, citing reasons other than the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Jeremy Savory, also known as the Millionaire Migrant, left his life in Southwest London for Dubai at the age of 28. During the past twenty years, he claims to have visited more than 100 countries and established a real estate portfolio while residing in the Gulf city. However, in a video posted on YouTube, he announced his departure from the region.
Amid the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East, with US President Donald Trump accusing Iran of reluctance towards peace negotiations, the United Arab Emirates reported intercepting Israeli drones flying over its airspace. Jeremy has advised Dubai residents to stay informed about potential geopolitical unrest in the area. He emphasized the importance of being proactive given the current situation.
Jeremy, who assists affluent individuals in relocating, mentioned that a key factor in his decision to move was a change in school holiday schedules. Expressing a desire for a vacation and noting the hyperactivity of his children, he highlighted the significance of the altered holiday timing. He revealed intentions to relocate to Eastern European or central Asian countries, mentioning favorable tax situations in lesser-known countries like Paraguay, Andorra, and Cyprus.
Discussing potential relocation options, Jeremy praised Albania, Poland, and Japan for their incentives for tax-free residency. He expressed enthusiasm for living in Japan with his family, emphasizing the appeal of such a setting. Jeremy shared his concerns about potential travel disruptions due to the ongoing conflicts in the region, recounting a situation where he almost missed a family holiday due to the circumstances.
In addition, Jeremy mentioned his mother’s necessity to move away from the UAE due to her hearing impairment, which made it challenging for her to cope with the loud noises of explosions in the area. Despite the current challenges, he remains optimistic about Dubai’s future, foreseeing a return of many individuals once the situation stabilizes. Drawing parallels to the 2008 financial crisis, he anticipates a resurgence in Dubai’s appeal once peace is restored.
While President Trump expressed optimism about peace talks in the Middle East, Tehran dismissed the claims, with military officials criticizing the negotiations. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi rejected Trump’s proposed plan for peace talks, labeling his statements as falsehoods. The region witnessed a tragic incident in Abu Dhabi where two individuals lost their lives and three others sustained injuries after being hit by debris from an intercepted missile.
