“Missing Man Found Dead After Work Release: Tragic Discovery in Cumbria”

A search for a missing man has tragically ended with the discovery of a body. John Hosker, aged 43, did not return to HMP Haverigg in Millom, Cumbria on January 8 after a temporary release for a work commitment. Cumbria Police confirmed that a body was found on Thursday, January 22, at Holme Knott in Sedbergh following a report from a member of the public.

Although formal identification is pending, the family of Mr. Hosker has been notified. Authorities have stated that the death is not considered suspicious. A police spokesperson announced, “A body was discovered during the investigation of a missing person from Haverigg Prison. The body was located at Holme Knott, Sedbergh and the deceased individual was confirmed at the scene. There is no suspicion surrounding the death at this time. The family of John Hosker, who was reported missing on January 8, has been updated.”
