“Mr. President Game Launches at Steam Board Game Fest”

Date:

The most recent Steam Fest has brought attention to video games that draw inspiration from or have real-world board game counterparts.

In honor of the launch of the Steam Board Game Fest, a developer has introduced its game in Early Access, catering to those intrigued by US politics.

For individuals critical of Donald Trump and confident in their ability to lead the Oval Office, the newly released PC game, Mr. President, offers a chance to showcase their skills.

This new game is based on the board game Mr. President: The American Presidency 2000-2020, providing players with the opportunity to experience pivotal moments in American history over two transformative decades.

Players will be tasked with guiding the US administration through historical events like 9/11 and COVID-19, alongside fictional scenarios reflecting broader political trends.

According to developer Exia Games, Mr. President is a sandbox simulation of the U.S. presidency, challenging players to handle various aspects of leadership, including legislative agendas, international relations with countries like Russia and China, and crises ranging from terrorism to pandemics.

In the game, players must nominate Supreme Court justices, manage political scandals, run re-election campaigns, and collaborate with Congress to enact new laws.

The video game adaptation of the board game introduces enhancements for a more engaging experience, such as streamlining administrative tasks and providing a seamless board view for better gameplay transitions.

Setting up new scenarios is quick and hassle-free, eliminating the need for lengthy preparations between gaming sessions.

The Steam Board Game Fest will continue until February 2, offering Mr. President at a discounted price of £16.79 throughout the event.
