The FBI has disclosed fresh details regarding the individual captured on Nancy Guthrie’s surveillance system, with the reward for information on her whereabouts or the suspect climbing to $100,000.
The 84-year-old disappeared from her residence in Arizona during the early hours of February 1. Her daughter, journalist Savannah Guthrie, has been appealing for her safe return.
In an emotional video message, Savannah expressed gratitude for the prayers and support received from her family and the public, emphasizing the urgent need for assistance in locating her missing mother.
The FBI recently released disturbing surveillance footage showing a masked man wearing gloves attempting to obstruct a Nest doorbell camera at Nancy’s home. Authorities now describe the suspect as a male, approximately five-foot-nine to five-foot-ten with a medium build, carrying a black Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack.
The FBI has raised the reward to $100,000 for information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s discovery or the apprehension of those involved in her disappearance. Enhanced details about the suspect have been provided following a forensic analysis of the doorbell camera footage by the FBI’s Operational Technology Division.
Law enforcement continues to work tirelessly on the case, with over 13,000 tips received since February 1, 2026. The public is urged to provide any relevant information to aid in the investigation.
Additionally, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department is broadening its search efforts, requesting security footage from neighbors in the Catalina Foothills area, particularly videos from January 11 and January 31, to assist in the investigation.
If you have any information that could lead to finding Nancy Guthrie or identifying those responsible for her abduction, you may be eligible for the $100,000 reward.
