New Look has introduced its inaugural loyalty program, offering exclusive discounts to members. Club New Look is a complimentary membership with benefits such as weekly “Club Prices” on specific items, early access to sales and events, and participation in exclusive competitions.
New members receive a 25% welcome discount upon joining. The fashion retailer aims to provide a more personalized shopping experience for its 10 million existing customers. CEO Helen Connolly expressed New Look’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding customers through the Club New Look loyalty program.
With a successful soft launch attracting 500,000 members, New Look targets 800,000 members by the fiscal year-end. The company plans to expand nationally to enhance the digital, personalized, and rewarding shopping experience for customers.
In other retail developments, Anthropologie, a US fashion brand, plans to open three new stores in the UK. Initially launching in London’s Regent Street in 2009, Anthropologie now intends to expand its presence with new locations in Liverpool, Glasgow, and Manchester.
Additionally, Gap is re-entering the UK market with three standalone stores after closing its last UK store in September 2021. The brand will open its flagship store in Covent Garden, followed by branches in Westfield London and Wembley Park London Designer Outlet.
Gap currently operates four shop-in-shop concepts within Next stores and more than 40 concessions in Next stores across England and Ireland. The brand’s return to the UK high street reflects its strategic expansion plans.
These developments come amidst New Look’s store closures, including exits from the Republic of Ireland, following increased costs associated with minimum wage and National Insurance rates. New Look is evaluating its store portfolio while focusing on enhancing the customer experience through its loyalty program.
