A man who targeted young girls as young as 10 cried and apologized to his mother as he was sentenced for his disturbing actions. Lucifer Hunter, who pretended to be a 16-year-old boy, used platforms like Xbox, TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram to manipulate and coerce children into sending him explicit images, often referring to himself as “Daddy.”
One victim was subjected to a FaceTime call where Hunter performed a sexual act in front of her, demanding similar actions in return or explicit photos that aligned with his disturbing preferences. He threatened the victims with violence, rape, and exposure of the images if they did not comply.
Hunter was sentenced to five years in prison after admitting to 14 offenses related to online child sexual activity, sexual communication, and possession of indecent images. The prosecutor revealed that Hunter targeted four girls aged 10 to 15 over a four-year period. He would switch from a friendly demeanor to aggression if his demands were not met.
One victim, who lived far from Hunter, expressed fear and anxiety upon police contact, having undergone counseling due to the trauma inflicted by him. She described feeling unsafe and watched after he tracked her movements on Snapchat. Hunter was found in possession of children’s undergarments and a substantial amount of indecent images.
In court, Hunter’s defense pleaded for a suspended sentence, citing his mental health issues and remorse. However, the judge dismissed this, emphasizing the deliberate and harmful nature of Hunter’s actions. He was sentenced to five years in prison, to which he tearfully apologized to his mother.
