“Police Car Collision Hospitalizes Two Pedestrians”

Two individuals have been hospitalized following a collision involving a police car this evening. The incident took place around 9 pm on Wigan Road in Leigh, prompting a swift response from emergency services. Both pedestrians suffered serious injuries and are currently undergoing medical treatment.

As a result of the accident, a cordon has been set up, leading to the closure of the road to traffic.

A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a police vehicle collided with two pedestrians at 9:08 pm on Wigan Road in Leigh. The injured individuals, a man and a woman, have been transported to the hospital for treatment of their serious injuries. Standard protocols have been initiated with GMP’s Professional Standards Directorate.
