“Prince Andrew Settles into Modest Norfolk Home”

Date:

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has finally settled into his new residence in Norfolk after a recent disagreement with Prince Edward over his temporary living situation. The former Duke of York was reportedly urged by his brother, the Duke of Edinburgh, to move to his permanent home in exile before Easter. Andrew had been staying at Wood Farm while renovations at Marsh Farm were completed.

However, there were delays in his relocation, leading to a meeting between Andrew and Edward. As a result, Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, had to find alternative accommodation for their Easter break at Garden House due to Andrew’s prolonged stay at Wood Farm. Reports indicate that Andrew has now transitioned to Marsh Farm and spent his first night there on Easter Monday, as witnessed by his staff moving his belongings.

Marsh Farm, located on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, is smaller than Andrew’s previous residence at Royal Lodge in Windsor Castle. Despite its size difference, Marsh Farm offers outbuildings and stables and is in the same village as Wood Farm. Andrew’s father, Prince Philip, spent much time at Wood Farm during his retirement, appreciating its proximity to the sea.

Wood Farm, originally a farmhouse converted into cottages, has been a favored retreat for the royal family, including Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. Teresa Thompson, the retired housekeeper, praised the intimacy and relaxation offered by Wood Farm. In a recent incident, demonstrators breached security at Marsh Farm, where Andrew now resides, before being intercepted by his security team.

The move signifies Andrew’s transition to a more modest living arrangement compared to his previous lavish accommodations. Despite the security breach, Andrew appears to be settling into his new home in Norfolk amidst ongoing scrutiny and public attention.
