This stay at the 30-room Windsor mansion occurred after an arrest warrant was issued for Epstein in the US for sexual assault of a minor.
The trio, who were later convicted of sexual offenses, had previously been known to visit Windsor Castle for the event, but the fact that they stayed at the Royal Lodge was not widely known.
Recent reports indicate that Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson have agreed to vacate the Royal Lodge and move to separate residences. Discussions are underway for Prince Andrew to leave voluntarily amid public scrutiny over the nominal rent he has paid for the mansion over the past two decades.
It is rumored that Prince Andrew has requested Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, while Sarah Ferguson may move to Adelaide Cottage once it becomes available after the departure of another royal couple.
King Charles had initially offered Frogmore Cottage to Prince Andrew in 2023, but the offer was declined. The King recently faced criticism during a public appearance at Lichfield Cathedral, with a man shouting questions about Andrew’s relationship with Epstein and whether Parliament should discuss the royals.
