Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly took a secret trip to Scotland with their children during their recent visit to the UK. Instead of visiting the royal estate of Balmoral, they are said to have traveled to Tanera Mor, a remote island owned by billionaire Ian Wace, co-founder of Marshall Wace hedge fund firm.
Wace purchased the 800-acre island in 2017 for £1.7 million and has invested approximately £100 million to enhance its infrastructure. The island, known for its serene environment, now accommodates around 500 guests annually, including individuals from the Police and Armed Forces.
It is believed that Wace and Harry share a friendship, having been seen together at a Cirque du Soleil performance in 2019. Previous reports suggest that Harry has visited the island before, where guests engage in activities like building restoration, fishing, and gardening.
Representatives for both Harry and Meghan, as well as Wace, declined to provide comments on the matter. The news of their alleged visit surfaces shortly after Meghan shared glimpses of their UK trip on Instagram, showcasing moments from their visit to Althorp and other destinations.
The Sussexes, accompanied by their children, also enjoyed beach time and pool activities in Portugal before heading to the UK. Notably, they own a holiday home on Portugal’s Atlantic coast. The photos posted by Meghan omitted any images of their family reunion with the King and Queen at Highgrove.
Their visit to Harry’s grandfather marked the children’s first trip to his country retreat in four years. The siblings last saw their grandfather during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. The couple has taken measures to safeguard the privacy of their children by not revealing their faces in the shared images.
