Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat as the popular TV provider introduces HBO Max to its lineup. This new streaming service, which has already made waves in the USA, offers a wide range of HBO dramas and Warner Bros. films, alongside Max Originals like The Pitt. Sky Ultimate TV package holders can now access HBO Max for free, saving over £50 annually.
According to Sky, subscribers with Ultimate TV on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, or those with Sky Q and the right package, will automatically receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription. To start streaming, users can simply launch the HBO Max app from their homepage and follow the on-screen instructions.
For non-Sky Ultimate TV customers, switching to this plan, which includes over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, and upcoming services like Hayu, is possible starting at £22 per month. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed excitement about the new integrated entertainment experience, combining Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu in a single subscription.
Furthermore, NOW Entertainment customers will also enjoy HBO Max at no extra cost within the NOW app. For those not subscribed to Sky, direct sign-ups for HBO Max are available on its website, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99 per month.
