Sky has revealed upcoming price increases for certain broadband and TV subscribers starting in April. The adjustments include a £3 monthly raise for most broadband users and a £1 to £3 hike for premium TV package subscribers. Sky will notify customers about these changes starting today.
Under Sky’s flexible pricing model, customers under contract can terminate their package without any early termination fees due to the price increases taking effect in April. On a positive note, millions of TV customers will soon enjoy added value as HBO Max, Disney+, and Hayu will be included in their packages starting next month.
Netflix is already part of the package, bringing the total monthly value of streaming apps to £20. A Sky spokesperson mentioned that the price modifications are necessary to sustain investments in fast broadband, premium entertainment, live sports, and reliable services while addressing industry-wide cost increases.
These adjustments follow recent price increases for Sky Mobile customers, with most experiencing a £1.50 monthly increase, equivalent to an annual rise of £18. The new pricing will be reflected in bills starting February 14, 2026, marking the first price adjustment for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years.
Affected customers in the minimum contract term can cancel their packages without penalty due to the price increase. However, the price of the Sky Mobile social tariff for low-income individuals will remain unchanged.
For those not under contract, it’s advisable to compare prices online to potentially save money on mobile and broadband services. Analyzing current usage levels can help identify unnecessary expenses on unused allowances. Consider switching providers or negotiating with the current provider for better deals. Additionally, individuals receiving benefits should check for eligibility for discounted social tariffs to reduce costs.
