“Sky Launches Game-Changing Streaming Bundle”

Date:

Sky has unveiled an exciting new update that is set to make waves in the streaming world. The company has announced a comprehensive subscription package that combines some of the most popular streaming services globally at a reduced monthly rate. For just £24 per month, both new and existing customers will gain access to a lineup that includes Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app, slated for release next month.

According to Sky, this bundled offering delivers excellent value for money, providing approximately £20 worth of streaming apps for a lower price. Considering Sky’s current basic plan costs £15 per month, the added content effectively comes at just an additional £9.

Moreover, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will enjoy access to over 130 channels, featuring a range of content such as Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, and Sky History, among others.

As an added benefit, Sky Cinema users will receive a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated directly into their planner. This feature enables them to watch Disney blockbusters without needing to open the Disney+ app separately.

Existing Disney+ subscribers who sign up through Sky can seamlessly transfer their current plan, whether Standard or Premium, while retaining their profiles and viewing history.

Sky has confirmed that all supported apps will be easily accessible from the homepage, offering fully integrated content. This streamlined experience allows users to search for shows and movies through voice commands and save them to a Playlist for future viewing.

The new Sky Ultimate plan will be available across various platforms, including Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized that this update signifies a new chapter for Sky and NOW, uniting Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under a single subscription. Customers can look forward to an integrated viewing experience and exceptional value, with HBO Max included at no extra charge for NOW Entertainment customers.

This move underscores Sky’s ongoing commitment to innovation, simplifying the process for viewers to access premium entertainment in a consolidated platform.

Included in the update are:
– Netflix Standard with Ads
– Disney+ Standard with Ads (from March, exact date to be confirmed)
– HBO Max Basic with Ads (beginning with its UK & Ireland launch on 26th March)
– Hayu (from July, with a selection of top shows available starting March)
– PLUS: Over 130 channels from Sky
