“Sky Mobile to Raise Monthly Bills by £1.50 Starting Feb 2026”

Date:

Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers will experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following a newly announced raise. The majority will witness a £1.50 uptick per month, totaling an annual increase of £18, though individual variations may occur.

Starting from February 14, 2026, customers will notice the adjusted pricing in their bills. This adjustment signifies the first price alteration for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years. Should customers be dissatisfied with the price hike and are within the minimum contract term, they have the option to terminate their package without incurring an early termination fee.

The cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to those with lower incomes, will remain unchanged. Sky attributed the price adjustment to escalated wholesale network expenses and assured customers that they will be informed promptly if their bill is affected.

According to a Sky Mobile representative, the £1.50 monthly increase for most customers is necessary to maintain the expected quality, service, and value. The decision to raise prices has not been taken lightly, given the absence of mid-contract mobile price increments for more than seven years. The adjustment is a response to industry-wide cost pressures, allowing continued investments in network infrastructure and enhancing customer experiences.

In a similar move, O2 announced a £2.50 monthly increase for nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract subscribers from April 2026, up from the initially planned £1.80 raise. Additionally, Three mobile customers opting for a data plan of 4GB or less after November 9 will face a £1.80 monthly increase from April 2026, marking an 80p increment compared to the current £1 rise.

Customers with data plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will observe a £1.90 monthly rise, while those with over 100GB will experience a £2.30 increase per month. Three broadband users, on the other hand, are set to encounter a £3.50 monthly hike starting April 2026.

Vodafone mobile subscribers committing to deals after November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly increase, with Basics SIM plans seeing a £1.50 rise. Vodafone broadband customers can expect a £3.50 price increase per month. Existing Vodafone or Three broadband and mobile contract holders will see their prices adjusted according to their pre-agreed terms.
