A teenager who fatally stabbed a 14-year-old in Manchester and later bragged about it in a rap video has been given a lengthy youth sentence. The victim, Ibrahima Seck, was pursued by three boys before one of them stabbed him in the heart. Sadly, Ibrahima passed away in the hospital almost an hour after the attack, while the perpetrator filmed a rap video boasting about the incident.
In a recent trial, all three boys involved were found guilty for their roles in the murder. The main assailant, Boy A, was convicted of murder, while Boy B and Boy C were acquitted of murder but found guilty of manslaughter.
During the sentencing, Boy A was ordered to serve a minimum of 11 years and ten months in detention, while Boy B received a sentence of two years and ten months, and Boy C was sentenced to two years and four months in detention. Boy B and Boy C will serve two-thirds of their sentences in detention.
Ibrahima lost his life on June 8, 2025, due to a single chest wound inflicted during the altercation in New Moston, north Manchester. According to reports, the incident began with a confrontation between Boy A and one of Ibrahima’s friends. The situation escalated when Boy A was handed a knife by Boy B, leading to the fatal outcome.
The court heard that all three defendants chased Ibrahima, with Boy A ultimately causing the fatal injury. After the attack, Boy A, Boy B, and Boy C fled the scene, and Boy A later recorded a rap video glorifying the murder.
While Boy B testified in court, Boy A and Boy C chose not to. Boy A’s defense accused Boy B of attempting to shift blame onto his co-defendants.
Ibrahima’s family described him as a beloved, kind-hearted young boy who brought joy to those around him. They emphasized the need for justice and expressed profound grief over his senseless death.
