The body of a teenage boy, who was spotted entering a lake in Leicestershire during a scorching day, has been recovered. Authorities responded to Meynell Lake in Fosse Way following the incident, involving Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, East Midlands Ambulance Service, and police divers. Leicestershire Police confirmed the recovery of a person from the water and have informed the boy’s family, providing them with necessary support.
The police stated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident and will prepare a report for the coroner to determine the circumstances of the boy’s tragic demise. The identity of the victim will be disclosed by the coroner.
