The final season commenced on May 23 and will conclude on November 1, marking the park’s permanent closure. All 30 rides and water slides will remain operational during this period, and previously purchased season passes or packages will be honored, as per The Street.
In its farewell year, the park plans to celebrate its legacy with themed events and special promotions, according to Burke.
Reports indicate that the amusement park will be replaced by a one-million-square-foot warehouse, a proposal met with resistance from locals nostalgic for the theme park.
Previous ideas considered by local developers and the city included a hotel and convention center, underscoring efforts to respect the park’s history while pursuing a project that benefits the area, as per Jeff Stock, the park’s co-owner.
