“Toddler in Critical Condition After Tameside Fall”

A young child, aged two, sustained critical injuries following a fall from a residence in Tameside. The incident occurred on Buttermere Road in Ashton-under-Lyne on Saturday evening, prompting swift action from emergency responders who transported the toddler to the hospital.

According to reports from Manchester Evening News, the toddler’s injuries are severe and life-threatening. Authorities from Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that the situation is not considered suspicious, and no individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Ongoing investigations are being conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident, as mentioned by the police. Photos depict a significant presence of ambulance crews at the scene on Buttermere Road, with an air ambulance landing at Ashton Under Lyne church.

A spokesperson from GMP provided details of the event, stating that the child fell from a house window on Buttermere Road in Ashton-under-Lyne in Tameside around 5:40 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The child, a two-year-old boy, sustained life-threatening injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made thus far, and the investigative process continues.
