“Tragic Death of 12-Year-Old Khimberly Sparks Outrage”

Date:

A 12-year-old girl, Khimberly Zavaleta, tragically passed away after being assaulted with a metal water bottle by alleged school bullies, according to her family. The incident occurred as she intervened to protect her sister from the attackers at their school in California. Following the assault on February 17, Khimberly was initially hospitalized but discharged. However, she later experienced a severe medical emergency, leading to a stroke due to persistent headaches from the attack.

Despite undergoing surgery to alleviate the accumulated blood around her brain, Khimberly’s condition worsened, ultimately resulting in her being placed in an induced coma. Unfortunately, medical efforts were in vain as her brain was irreparably damaged, and she succumbed to her injuries on February 20.

Her family recounted the events leading to the tragic outcome, emphasizing that Khimberly was a victim of bullying at her school. The assailant, a 12-year-old student, is suspected of the attack, which is now being investigated as a homicide by the LAPD. The Los Angeles Unified School District expressed deep sorrow over Khimberly’s death and pledged to provide support to those affected by the loss.

A fundraising campaign has been initiated to cover funeral expenses, medical bills, and relocation costs for the family seeking a safer educational environment for Khimberly’s siblings. The community is rallying to support the grieving family during this challenging time.
