“Tragic Death of Social Media Star in Soho Collision”

Date:

Social media personality Klaudia Zakrzewska, known as Klaudiaglam on Instagram, has sadly passed away following a collision with a vehicle outside a nightclub in Soho.

The influencer, who was also a model, was in critical condition at the hospital after being struck along with two other pedestrians during the early hours of Sunday.

29-year-old Gabrielle Carrington, a former X Factor contestant from Manchester, appeared in court on Tuesday, accused of trying to murder Klaudia after an alleged altercation outside the club.

Authorities charged Carrington with attempted murder, causing serious bodily harm with intent, physical harm, reckless driving, and driving under the influence on Monday evening, approximately 36 hours after the reported incident. Carrington had participated in the X Factor live finals in 2013 as part of the group Miss Dynamix.

After Klaudia’s death, the police announced that the attempted murder charge would be changed to murder, as per the Metropolitan Police.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, leading the investigation, conveyed condolences to Klaudia’s family and friends following the tragic development. She also extended sympathies to all those affected by the incident.

DCI Foxwell urged the public to avoid speculation regarding the case, given its significant attention on social media. She also requested refraining from sharing graphic content out of respect for the victims and to avoid hindering the ongoing investigation and potential legal proceedings.

Klaudia, in her thirties, originally from Poland and with 258,000 Instagram followers, had been at Inca nightclub before the tragic incident that led to her being struck.

Distressing footage on social platforms depicted Klaudia trapped under the vehicle as bystanders rushed to assist her.

Shortly after the accident, a close friend shared a poignant message on Instagram, expressing the pain and trauma of witnessing the tragic event and the aftermath.

During the court hearing on Tuesday, it was revealed that the collision had also caused severe injuries to security worker Anoush Chyche, in his fifties, and minor injuries to Latisha Armstrong, in her thirties.

Numerous family members and friends of both Carrington and Ms. Zakrzewska were present in the crowded public gallery, alongside court security personnel.

According to court records, Carrington was found to be over the legal alcohol limit, registering 61 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 milligrammes at the time of her arrest. District Judge Nina Tempia ordered her to remain in custody.
