Tragic Death of Teen Student at Darlington College

A school mourns the loss of a teenage student who passed away at the campus early in the new term. Authorities responded to a welfare concern at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington on January 13. Despite efforts by staff and emergency responders, an 18-year-old individual was pronounced deceased on-site, with no suspicion of foul play involved.

The local police confirmed the incident, stating that the young man’s family has been notified and is receiving support from specialized personnel. The case is non-suspicious, and a report is being prepared for the coroner.

Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College released a statement expressing condolences for the student’s passing and offering support services for those affected. Following the incident, scheduled lessons and sports activities at the college were canceled on the subsequent day, with only a few public exams proceeding as planned.
