“Tragic Death on Orlando Rollercoaster Sparks Investigation”

Date:

A 70-year-old woman met a tragic demise following her ride on a rollercoaster at a theme park.

The woman was discovered unresponsive after the high-speed journey came to a halt on the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster at Universal Orlando, Florida, as per recently disclosed records.

She was swiftly taken to the hospital on November 25 but unfortunately could not be revived. While the cause of her death was not disclosed, the park reported eight other incidents of injuries or medical events between October and December, including visitors experiencing chest pains, nausea, and back discomfort.

Details surrounding the incident were not provided, with a disclaimer stating that the report contained information gathered at the time of the occurrence without subsequent updates on the patrons’ conditions due to privacy considerations.

The Revenge of the Mummy ride attains a maximum speed of 45 mph and features sudden halts, backward movement, and a drop of approximately 39 feet. The majority of the ride occurs in dimly lit or pitch-black settings, intensifying the sensations of speed and unpredictability.

The ride has been associated with numerous injuries since its debut in 2004, with a total of 21 incidents reported in connection with the coaster. A Universal spokesperson declined to comment on pending claims, leaving uncertainty regarding any potential claims made against the park.

The Orlando Police Department stated that no death investigation has been initiated, while the Orlando Fire Department lacked information on the incident, as reported by FOX 35.

In a separate incident last year, a teenager sustained injuries on a theme park ride when he was ejected from his seat as the 360-degree swing reached its apex. Spectators watched in horror as the 13-year-old boy plummeted to the ground, fracturing a leg and two fingers. The Pendulum swing ride was in operation, gradually gaining speed as designed.

As the swing completed a full rotation with riders hanging as expected, the boy lost his grip and fell while clinging to the ride, just as it began to descend. Following the sudden fall, the ride was promptly halted by the operator.

The unidentified teen fell from a height of approximately one-and-a-half to two meters, causing him to suffer three broken bones. He was promptly transported to a hospital after the incident at Jatim Park in Indonesia.
