“Tragic Double Death: Suspected Murder Victim and Perpetrator Found Deceased”

Date:

A man passed away due to a heart attack while dragging the lifeless body of his girlfriend, who is suspected to have been murdered, through a wooded area, as per autopsy findings. Jessica Folds, a mother of three from Lanett, Alabama, and the suspected perpetrator, Both Daniel Robbins, 44, from Macon, Georgia, were discovered deceased on June 10 in a forested region near the small rural community where Folds grew up.

Law enforcement officers uncovered the body of the 47-year-old mother with her hands raised above her head, just a short distance from her residence, according to Chambers County Sheriff Jeff Nelson. A post-mortem examination has confirmed that she was strangled to death.

Robbins’ body was found adjacent to hers, curled up in a fetal position. Authorities noticed a distinct ‘drag path’ at the location.

Although the exact duration of the pair’s relationship has not been disclosed by the police, public records indicate that the 47-year-old mother and grandmother lost her husband of five years in February of the previous year. The incident of Folds’ alleged murder location remains unclear, but law enforcement officials suspect that Robbins killed her in a domestic violence incident the night before. District Attorney Mike Segrest mentioned that authorities believe he was attempting to dispose of her body when he suffered a heart attack and died. “He died of a heart attack while in the process,” Segrest stated. “Their bodies were found together right there.” Police were alerted to the wooded area around midday on June 10 after a passerby noticed an abandoned vehicle parked along a dirt road with its engine running. The driver’s side door was ajar, and the tailgate had been lowered, according to the DA. Subsequently, law enforcement officers followed the drag marks in the dirt.

The traces began at the ground near the opened tailgate and truck bed and terminated in the underbrush where the two bodies were discovered lying in the soil. The individual who discovered the vehicle and the deceased couple initially mistook their remains for mannequins, the county sheriff informed local TV news station WTVM. Folds is survived by three adult sons and two grandchildren. Her obituary stated: “Jessica lived and worked in various locations in the Auburn-Opelika area. Jessica impacted many lives with her kind heart, profound love for everyone, and radiant smile that illuminated the world.”

Robbins was a father to a daughter. His obituary has been removed from the funeral home’s website that has taken charge of his remains for interment. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the alleged homicide, which is still under investigation.
