Tribute Held for Mother and Daughters Slain in Tragic Incident

Date:

Hundreds of individuals gathered to pay tribute to a mother and her two daughters who were discovered deceased at their residence during a poignant ceremony.

The commemorative event, honoring Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, along with her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, 5, took place at Bedford’s Corn Exchange, drawing nearly 500 attendees. The inquest revealed that Zandile succumbed to head injuries, while Natalie and Nala perished from blunt force head injuries.

Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, 45, is currently detained in South Africa on suspicion of the murder of his wife and children. The service united relatives, friends, coworkers, and educators, who fondly remembered the trio and celebrated their lives.

During the service, Zandile’s cousin, Michelle Ncube, expressed the profound sorrow felt by the family, lamenting the stolen future of the deceased and the impact on their loved ones. She highlighted Zandile’s nurturing personality and her dedication to her daughters’ well-being.

In a message shared with the congregation, Zandile’s sister from Zimbabwe described the irreplaceable bond they shared, emphasizing the immense void left by their tragic loss.

Natalie was honored by Gemma Gibson, the headmistress of Bedford Girls’ School, who praised her for her kindness and outstanding sportsmanship. Nala’s teacher, Nikki Woodworth, remembered her for her affectionate hugs.

The memorial was orchestrated by Jabu Ncube, a longtime friend of Zandile, who struggled to articulate the magnitude of the tragedy and urged attendees to cherish the memory of the deceased as angels.

Colleagues at Forensic Risk Alliance in London, where Zandile worked, commended her for her professionalism, intelligence, and passion for her work.

Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, who was apprehended in South Africa, faces legal proceedings for possession of unlicensed firearms and potential extradition to the UK to face murder charges.

Funeral services for Zandile, Natalie, and Nala are scheduled to be held in Zimbabwe in the upcoming week.
