In a recent interview, Donald Trump revealed that he goes against his doctor’s advice by finding exercise “boring.” The US President expressed his dislike for activities like walking or running on a treadmill for extended periods, stating that it is not something he enjoys. Trump also disclosed that he takes a higher dosage of aspirin than recommended by his physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, who prescribed 325 milligrams daily.
Addressing the aspirin dosage, Trump shared with The Wall Street Journal that although his doctor prefers a smaller dose, he opts for a larger one despite experiencing bruising due to its effects. Trump briefly experimented with compression socks for his swollen ankles but discontinued use due to personal preference, relying on his “good genetics” to manage health concerns. He attributed his susceptibility to bruising to the high aspirin intake, which he has maintained for 25 years, emphasizing the benefits of thinning the blood for heart health.
Trump refuted claims of dozing off during White House events and denied hearing difficulties. However, he admitted to using makeup to conceal bruising on his hands. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt linked a bruise on Trump’s hand to the constant handshakes he engages in daily, along with his aspirin regimen, which medical examinations have associated with bruising.
In response to reports suggesting a decline in his performance, Trump asserted on Truth Social that he recently underwent a “Cognitive Examination” before numerous unfamiliar medical professionals, which he excelled in. Dismissing allegations of slowing down, he criticized publications like The New York Times for spreading false information about his mental and physical capabilities, expressing his dedication to his work and condemning what he views as defamatory reporting against the President of the United States.
