“Trump Resisted Secret Service Evacuation During White House Breach”

Date:

Donald Trump shared his experience during a security breach at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, recounting how he resisted Secret Service agents trying to evacuate him when a gunman attacked the event. Speaking on CBS’s 60 Minutes, the President mentioned that he delayed following security protocols as the suspected gunman, Cole Tomas Allen, opened fire at the Hilton Hotel in Washington DC. Despite agents urging him to take cover, Trump insisted on observing the situation before eventually complying.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche revealed that officials believe the suspect, identified as a California teacher named Allen, traveled across the country to target members of the Trump administration at the event. Allen, who now faces charges for assaulting an officer with a dangerous weapon, is suspected of sending a manifesto to his family expressing his intent to harm administration officials.

The chilling document outlined Allen’s plan to use buckshot to minimize casualties and listed his targets as administration officials, excluding FBI Director Kash Patel. The manifesto contained references to allegations against Trump, which the President has denied, suggesting Allen’s motives may have been politically driven. Law enforcement officials are continuing to investigate the incident and anticipate filing additional charges against Allen.
