“Trump’s Focus on Statues in Venezuela Over Gas Prices”

Date:

During a recent cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump expressed more interest in the possibility of having a statue erected in his honor in Venezuela than in discussing gas prices. The rising cost of petrol, attributed to ongoing tensions with Iran, has been a significant factor contributing to Trump’s declining approval ratings, which hit a record low of 36% yesterday.

Interior Secretary Doug Bergum attempted to shift the focus to the flow of Venezuelan oil being seized and processed in US refineries during the meeting. However, Trump remained fixated on the idea of a statue being erected in his honor in Venezuela, rather than discussing oil-related matters.

Bergum mentioned the significant increase in oil production, which has led to a 50% rise in just three months, resulting in lower gas prices in the United States due to the oil supply to American refineries on the Gulf Coast. Despite this information, Trump redirected the conversation back to the statue, showing more interest in that prospect.

In the same cabinet meeting, Trump criticized UK aircraft carriers, calling them “toys,” and expressed frustration towards NATO for not offering immediate assistance in the Middle East conflict. He emphasized the importance of allies getting involved at the beginning of conflicts rather than waiting until later stages. Trump dismissed the offer of UK aircraft carriers, stating they were inferior to US carriers and not needed once the war was over.
