Two Arrested in Greater Manchester Acid Attack

Police in Greater Manchester have apprehended two individuals following an acid attack near a McDonald’s restaurant. The incident occurred in Ashton town centre at approximately 4pm. The suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of assault after a hazardous materials incident. One man in his 30s has been hospitalized for treatment, with his injuries reported as non-life-threatening. The authorities have assured the public that there is no significant risk to the general population. Additionally, two fire crews from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue were present at the scene to assist with the situation.
