UK Intelligence Agents Track Chemical Weapons in Iran

Date:

UK intelligence officers have reportedly been deployed to Iran on a covert mission to locate potential sites housing deadly chemical weapons. Working alongside American and French counterparts, the British agents are investigating after Iran retaliated against neighboring countries, prompted by joint US and Israeli attacks resulting in the death of Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.

While the US and Israel have conducted military strikes on Iranian targets, Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency believes that Iran may be concealing lethal chemicals in undisclosed locations. Concerns have been raised that Iran could use these alleged nerve agents in retaliatory attacks, potentially targeting Dubai.

The search for these chemical weapons follows reports of Iran supplying such arms to Syria’s former leader, Bashar al-Assad, who infamously deployed sarin nerve gas in a deadly attack near Damascus in 2013. Despite these troubling developments, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued an unexpected apology to neighboring countries for Iran’s aggressive actions, emphasizing a commitment to avoiding invasions.

In a recent incident, Iran claimed responsibility for a drone strike on the US Al Dhafra Air Base near Abu Dhabi, although the attack remains unconfirmed. Furthermore, an Iranian radiation sterilization plant in Isfahan province sustained severe damage during a joint US-Israeli air and missile assault, as confirmed by Iranian state media.
