A tourist from the UK was taken into custody for engaging in a sexual act with a woman on a beach in Thailand. The vacationer, identified as Loucaides, 23, from London, reportedly paid Nuchjaree, 61, for oral sex on the sandy shores of Pattaya, also known as ‘adult entertainment hub.’
Video evidence purportedly captured the inebriated naked tourist lying on the beach while the elderly prostitute performed the act. However, witnesses were shocked by the scene and promptly alerted the authorities in the early hours of January 23.
Both individuals were apprehended and faced charges of public indecency, which carries a maximum penalty of 5,000 baht (£119). They argued that they were not aware that their actions were unlawful. Loucaides mentioned his ADHD diagnosis as a defense, while Nuchjaree claimed to be a student from Singapore studying in Thailand.
Police Major Chanan Kesornbua confirmed that both offenders were handed over for further legal processing. Once a fine was paid, the tourist was released.
A concerned driver recounted observing an unusual incident on the beach but initially mistook it for a medical emergency. The driver, Somsak Pativat, reported the incident to the police after realizing the nature of the encounter.
Pattaya, known for its nightlife and affordable adult entertainment, has been nicknamed ‘adult entertainment Disneyland’ by some British visitors seeking experiences not easily accessible in their home country. However, this reputation has raised concerns about tarnishing Thailand’s image as a family-friendly holiday destination with beautiful beaches and a rich cultural heritage.
In a separate incident, a British yoga teacher, Maria Shchetinina, was arrested in Thailand for allegedly offering tantric sex classes for a nominal fee behind a popular restaurant. Authorities discovered her conducting classes under the alias Maria Sky Love while holding a permit for a different job title.
Shchetinina was apprehended during a class and was charged with unauthorized work activities. She was heard mentioning her lawyer’s approval during the arrest.
