“Unique Blonde Buffalo Spared From Sacrifice as Public Outcry Grows”

Date:

A buffalo in Bangladesh, known as “Donald Trump” for its unique blonde hair, was saved from being sacrificed during Eid festivities after gaining widespread attention. Government officials stepped in and prevented the albino buffalo from being sold for ritual slaughter due to safety concerns and heightened public interest. The Home Ministry intervened last minute, sparing the buffalo and arranging for compensation to the buyer. The buffalo, now named “Buffalo Donald Trump,” was relocated to the national zoo in Dhaka.

The decision to spare the buffalo was made due to security concerns and the significant public fascination with the animal, which had become a viral sensation online. Crowds flocked to the farm where the buffalo lived to catch a glimpse of its distinctive blond tuft. The buffalo’s owner, Ziauddin Mridha, revealed that it was named after the US President because of its resemblance to Donald Trump, as pointed out by his younger brother.

Albino buffaloes are a rarity in Bangladesh, with most buffaloes being dark-colored. The unique coloring of the buffalo made it a standout attraction during the Eid livestock season. Despite Bangladesh being known for high animal sacrifices during Eid al-Adha, reports suggest a decrease this year due to elevated livestock prices, making it harder for low-income families to afford sacrificial animals. The country is experiencing a cost of living crisis, causing many families to opt for cheaper meat alternatives.
