“Vacation Nightmare: Dogs Abused by Sitter Caught on Camera”

Date:

A couple on vacation in Thailand were shocked to find out that their dogs were being mistreated by their hired dog-sitter after setting up CCTV cameras to monitor their pets. Natalie Horlor, a school headteacher, and her husband Duncan, from Solihull, had entrusted their pets to Paige Williams, 25, of Fur & Filly PetCare Services, while they were away in August 2024.

Upon their return, the couple noticed their dogs behaving strangely and distressed. Reviewing the CCTV footage, they were appalled to witness Williams and her partner, Bradley Archer, physically abusing the dogs by kicking and dragging them. The cameras also captured the couple yelling at the pets.

The Horlors reported the abuse to the RSPCA and the police, leading to an investigation. Video evidence revealed the extent of the mistreatment, with one clip showing Williams expressing frustration to the camera. RSPCA Inspector Ben Jones highlighted that one of the dogs, Ayrton, bore the brunt of the abuse, suffering various forms of mistreatment.

The couple shared their distress over the lasting impacts on their dogs’ behavior, noting changes like fear of strangers and loud noises. Williams and Archer faced legal consequences for their actions, each receiving a community order and fines, along with a seven-year ban on keeping animals. Williams was also prohibited from caring for any animal during this period.
