Two individuals were stabbed, and a woman was assaulted in a violent incident that took place at a Tesco car park. The attack occurred at Leeholme Road in Billingham, County Durham, around 9:35 pm on Monday night when a group of men on electric bikes and a quad bike targeted a black Hyundai Tuscan parked in the area.
The quad bike rammed into the Hyundai, causing damage, and the assailants proceeded to pull the occupants out of the vehicle and physically assault them. The woman driving the car was punched, while two men were forcibly removed from the back of the vehicle and attacked.
The two injured men, who sustained stab wounds to their abdomen and sides, were promptly taken to the hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening. A fourth individual in the passenger seat of the car escaped unharmed during the altercation.
Following the incident, a police investigation was launched, urging any witnesses or individuals with footage of the attack to come forward and assist in the inquiry. Detectives from Cleveland Police are looking into the matter and have requested the public’s cooperation in providing any relevant information or evidence related to the assault.
The scene at the car park was cordoned off temporarily, as seen in images shared on social media. However, by 7 am the following morning, the cordon was removed, and normal operations resumed at the Tesco store. The police are actively seeking any additional information that could aid in resolving this violent episode.
