Woman and Dog Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Scotland

A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday morning as a woman, identified as Amy Gray, and her dog Reggie were fatally struck by a Land Rover Sport while crossing the A8 Greenock Road in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde, Scotland. Despite the arrival of emergency services at 7.05am, both Ms. Gray and her pet succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the Land Rover was unharmed, and the road remained closed for approximately five hours for investigative purposes.

Authorities have informed Ms. Gray’s family, and a full report will be provided to the Procurator Fiscal. Sergeant Patrick McWilliams of Police Scotland Road Policing expressed condolences to the family and urged any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the collision to come forward to assist in the investigation.
