A woman has been taken into custody following an investigation into the death of a man discovered with severe injuries, as confirmed by law enforcement officials.
The incident unfolded at Ayton Crescent in Eston, Middlesbrough, where a man was found with significant injuries after a member of the public alerted the authorities around 11 pm on Saturday. Tragically, the man was declared deceased at the scene.
Subsequent to a swift response, which included assistance from the National Police Air Service, a 39-year-old woman was apprehended and is currently held by the police. Authorities mentioned that efforts are ongoing to locate a second individual related to the incident.
Superintendent Daryll Tomlinson released a statement on Sunday, stating, “I want to assure the community that this is an isolated occurrence, posing no broader threat to public safety. Police presence will be increased in the area, and officers will continue to be present at Ayton Crescent.”
