A tragic incident unfolded as a woman sought assistance on Facebook shortly before her partner fatally stabbed her. Angela Silk, also known as Angela Goodwin, was discovered in a pool of blood after being attacked by Alexander George O’Sachy in 2021. He inflicted a severe leg wound, nearly severing a major artery. Despite medical efforts, Silk succumbed to her injuries.
O’Sachy has admitted guilt for manslaughter in the Supreme Court and is awaiting sentencing. Reports indicate that his violent history was exposed on a Facebook page labeled ‘Keep Alex O’Sachy in jail’. Leading up to her demise, Silk had stumbled upon the page and left a comment expressing uncertainty about O’Sachy. She wrote, “I am dating Alex … Do I need to know more about this..?”
In a subsequent comment, she reached out for guidance, stating, “Hello … I see no harm in talking to you about THIS … I am still a bit bewildered … And I think I need someone to help me with my confusion abit (sic) … I’m pretty sure on that … So please if you don’t mind … Yes please … I need to talk to you … At the moment I can text only … Please and thankyou (sic).”
The day before the fatal attack, concerned users inquired about Silk’s safety on the platform. Tragically, news had already emerged that O’Sachy had been charged with her murder. Commenters lamented the situation, with one noting, “Pretty sure she’s the lady that was found deceased in his home last night. Huge crime scene on Wishart Rd (in) Upper Mount Gravatt.”
Another commenter remarked on the haunting nature of Silk’s final posts. The Facebook page in question is believed to have originated after the death of teenager Leanne Thompson in 2006, who was in a relationship with O’Sachy.
In a previous incident, O’Sachy, then 28, was found to have supplied drugs and exhibited violence towards Thompson. He had also allegedly instructed Thompson to take her own life. However, a jury could not reach a verdict on the charge.
O’Sachy pleaded guilty to unlawful carnal knowledge involving a relationship with a teen in 2012. He was also linked to the death of another teenager, Andrew Anderson, who fatally shot himself in 2005. O’Sachy had spent time with Anderson the night before, consuming alcohol and drugs. Nonetheless, O’Sachy was not charged in connection with Anderson’s death.
